Hello Class! Please view the link below to learn a little more about me. Feel free to explore the rest of my personal website! http://mkantonioli.weebly.com/ I am looking forward to working and learning with you all.
I loved your assessment of where schools will be in 5-10 years. I hadn't thought about the possibility of schools requiring students to provide their own devices. This, in itself, will prove to be a huge barrier for underpriviledged students; which will present the Government with another problem on how to provide those students with equal education in public schools. I believe that more schools (mostly private) will provide online education/distance learning. We are seeing this more than was made available 5-10 years ago, and I think it's going to continue to grow. For public schools I do think we will see Teacher's teaching less and utilizing more technology (I'm already seeing this in my children's schools. They spend a few hours a week on the computer learning math and less time being taught the same subject matter with their teachers). You spoke about fear, and in honesty, fear is my biggest barrier to technology. There are vast possibilities for all areas of life where technology is concerned and while it is exciting and fascinating on the one hand, it is important for it to be balanced, I believe, with wisdom and understanding of the students we teach.
